ATTRIBUTIVE WORD-COMBINATION AS A MEANS TO INDICATE HISTORICAL EVENTS AND EPOCHS IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the use of attributive word-combinations in the nominations of historical epochs and events. According to the researcher, the majority of such word-combinations include the words with the semantic component "time" and lexical units derived from the names of historical figures. They record the conceptions of the people on the events of the past and present and are means for cognition of the world.
