Abstract. The article examines the basic rules to prepare a scientific and technical article in the English language for the publication in an international journal; the authors analyze the stylistic and grammatical peculiarities of the international scientific English with a view to identify the most typical mistakes in the written scientific speech of the Russian-speaking scientists.
