COMMUNICATIVE AND PRAGMATIC FUNCTIONS OF THE RESPONSES OF A MODERATOR OF THE GERMAN TALK-SHOW "ANNE WILL"

Abstract. The paper is executed within the framework of discourse analysis, it is devoted to the communicative interaction within media discourse by the example of communication in the talk show genre. The special attention is paid to the responses of a moderator; the author reveals their communicative and pragmatic functions, focuses on their relation with the communicative strategies typical for this genre, identifies in the moderator’s responses the lexical means indicating the realization of a certain communicative strategy.
