IMAGE OF NATIONAL HERO SALAWAT YULAYEV IN THE BASHKIR ESSAYS

Abstract. The article touches on the problem of the artistic description of the image of the national hero of the Bashkir people Salawat Yulayev (one of the leaders of the Peasant War of 1773-1775). As examples the author examines essays by A. Kharisov, G. Shafikov, G. Khusainov and I. Karimov, in which from different viewpoints they reveal the image of Salawat as a talented warrior, military leader and poet-improvisator. The examined works contribute to the enrichment of the image of Salawat Yulayev in the Bashkir literature.
