MEANINGS OF POLYSEMANTIC WORDS IN DICTIONARY ENTRY

Abstract. The article considers the topical issues of differentiation between the separate meanings of words, as the correlation between the meanings of a polysemantic word in the Turkic languages has not been completely studied. The order of these meanings in the dictionary entry is one of the most important and difficult problems of the Turkic lexicography. The author analyzes the placement of the word meanings in the dictionary entry.
