Abstract. The article aims to describe mental mechanisms to create the conceptual memory metaphor in the artistic space of the fantastic anti-utopia by H. Franke Ypsilon Minus. The metaphor is considered through the lenses of image schemas. The paper justifies the thesis that image schemas and cognitive domains, which they structure, are effective instruments to describe consciousness mechanisms responsible for the creation of metaphorical contexts and artistic worldviews.
