Abstract. The article examines the problem of forming students’ written speech competence on the basis of the modern information and communication Web 2.0 technologies. The authors analyze the didactic potential of blog-technologies, propose step-by-step algorithm to develop linguistic students’ writing skills by the example of Internet discussion via blog.
