THE CONCEPTUALIZATION OF THE NOTION FOOD IN THE FRENCH LINGUISTIC WORLDVIEW

Abstract. The article deals with the concept "food" as an integral part of the Frenchman’s worldview. The French cuisine is not just a gastronomic notion, but one of the hallmarks of France in the international arena. The authors analyze such factors as the types of courses, their areal belonging and the place where the food is eaten. All together they form a multi-faceted and unique concept in its content.
