THE IMAGE OF ETERNAL FEMINITY IN N. S. GUMILEV’S LATE LYRICS

Abstract. The article examines certain conception associated with the interpretation of Mashenka’s image from N. S. Gumilev’s poem "The Tram that Lost Its Way". The author introduces her own interpretation of the image under study. Mashenka’s image allows the author to provide the comparative analysis of the Ideal images by N. S. Gumilev and poet-symbolist A. A. Blok. The paper concludes that the poets developed the creative space according to the principle of approaching two elements in lyrics: material and ontological.
