MULTI-MEDIA STRUCTURES OF THE MODERN RUSSIAN AND FOREIGN MEDIA-DISCOURSE

Abstract. The study aims to describe multi-mediality as a key characteristic of the modern media-discourse. The paper provides the motives on which the multi-mediality extends beyond the category of virtual media technical characteristics and becomes an integral part of media-culture of the XXI century human, a key element of human consciousness. The analysis of Russian, Anglo-American and French media allowed identifying the basic models to develop media-discourse considering the multi-media potentials of media space. The author concludes on the prospects for virtual media to use multi-media structures regardless of time, space and without semantic and linguistic barriers.
