THE INFLUENCE OF SOCIOCULTURAL FACTORS ON EDUCATION IN RUSSIA AND GERMANY

Abstract. The article summarizes and analyzes the active worldwide processes which influence considerably the formation of sociocultural situation in higher education of Russia and Germany and predetermine the dynamics of the concept "Higher education" adopted in the consciousness of the representatives of German and Russian sociocultural communities. The paper also presents the results of comparative contextual analysis carried out by the material of the Russian and German journal publications with a view to identify the common evaluative features of the mentioned concept and the specifics of its metaphorical verbalization in the German and Russian languages.
