AFFIXATION AS A WAY OF REPLENISHMENT OF THEATRICAL TERMINOLOGY IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article gives a general description of theatrical terms of the English language formed by affixation. The author studies the structural and semantic models underlying the formation of these terms, and reveals their quantitative composition. The characteristic of affixes involved in the formation of the terms is given. The semantic groupings formed by derivative theatrical terms of English are described. The paper also singles out the internal and external factors that stipulated the features of the theatrical terms under study.
