GENERAL CHARACTERISTIC OF TRANSPOSITION AS A WAY OF WORD-FORMATION

Golubeva Alina Yur'evna, Kalashnikova Anna Aleksandrovna
Don State Technical University

Abstract. The article considers transposition as a way of word-formation. The specificity of the notion of transposition consists in the fact that in modern linguistics this phenomenon doesn’t have unambiguous interpretation and philologists don’t often come to a common opinion about the question of the types of transposition. The purpose of the paper is to identify the paradigm of derivational meanings and word-formative types, because this kind of morphology is investigated taking into account the functional aspect of linguistic phenomena and paying attention to different forms of re-categorization of language units.
Key words and phrases: транспозиция, словообразовательный тип, деривационное значение, морфология, субстантивация, адъективация, модификация, transposition, word-formation type, derivational meaning, morphology, substantivization, adjectivization, modification
