SPECIFICITY OF EVALUATION WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF MODERN ART CRITICISM DISCOURSE

Abstract. This article is devoted to the issue of evaluation within the framework of the modern art criticism discourse. The analysis of evaluative statements in art criticism texts allows determining the circle of value concepts for the discourse that conflict with traditional cultural and aesthetic values. Illustrative material of the study is represented by reviews of the English art criticism editions ArtReview and ARTnews , devoted to contemporary painting.
