MODERN MARI STORY ON GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR: PROBLEMS AND POETICS

Abstract. The article for the first time considers the development of story genre in modern Mari literature on the Great Patriotic War, identifies the peculiarities of its problematics and poetics, and shows the ways to deepen genre content, to broaden the range of narrative compositional and style decisions. The paper aims to analyze the Mari story of the end of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century on the Great Patriotic War from the viewpoint of renewing its problematics and poetics. The key problem is a human being and war, the lessons of war at the level of philosophical speculations. In such aspect and in the mentioned time period this genre is examined for the first time.
