THE SINGULARITY OF LITERARY-ARTISTIC HERITAGE OF THE SIBERIAN POET OF THE IV CENTURY SHEIKH IKANI

Abstract. The article studies for the first time the creative heritage of the palace poet of the Tatar khans from the Siberian Khanate Sheikh Ikani, discovered by the author in the collection of verse and poems of the Yassavids’ "Bakyrgan Kitaby". This book in the XIX and early XX centuries was often published in Kazan, was popular among the people, but the authorship of the works that were included in it was not established. After laborious work on attributing texts and their publications in 2000, it became possible to study the poems written by Ikani in literary criticism. They are of interest because they are written in the ideological channel of the Sufi Yassavids and are significant in the cognition of the thoughts and aspirations of the Siberian Tatars of the Middle Ages. The article clarifies some historical facts related to the Muslim saints of Siberia.
