Abstract. The article studies for the first time the creative heritage of the palace poet of the Tatar khans from the Siberian Khanate Sheikh Ikani, discovered by the author in the collection of verse and poems of the Yassavids’ "Bakyrgan Kitaby". This book in the XIX and early XX centuries was often published in Kazan, was popular among the people, but the authorship of the works that were included in it was not established.
