Musukov Boris Abdulkerimovich
Institute of Humanities Research (Branch) of Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the rhythmic-sound organization of the Karachay-Balkar verse, characterized by the general ordering of the sound structure of poetic speech. It deals not only with the sense-distinctive features of vowel and consonant phonemes, but also with grammatical forms of the words used in closing lines, denoting certain actions or homogeneous phenomena. Various morphological means are analyzed in the paper with the help of which the rhyme in the heroic epic is constructed, as well as their phonetic variants, and more developed forms of rhythmic-syntactic parallelism when the initial and final rhymes are used.
Key words and phrases: звуковой повтор, словесный повтор, ритмико-синтаксический параллелизм, внешняя аллитерация, стихотворное повествование, метрическая организация стиха, аллитерация, строфическая композиция, sound repetition, verbal repetition, rhythmic-syntactic parallelism, external alliteration, poetic narrative, metrical organization of verse, alliteration, strophic composition
