ODOUR FEATURE AS AN OBJECT OF EVALUATIVE PERCEPTION IN THE NOMINATIVE SYSTEM OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the means to designate evaluative criterion as a result of perceiving odour features of an object in the French language. The author analyzes in detail the interaction of objective and subjective when developing value judgments of the subject of odour perception. Special attention is paid to the critical analysis of relativity of general evaluation, motives for personal evaluative meanings and evaluative interpretation of a quantitative parameter of this feature. All the mentioned factors determine axiological value of nominative units.
