THE USE OF ONLINE DICTIONARIES IN TEACHING TRANSLATION AT THE NON-LINGUISTIC HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION

Abstract. The article presents the results of an experiment on the use of electronic online dictionaries in the translation of special texts for students of the direction of bachelors’ training "Ecology". Within the framework of the experiment the electronic online dictionary Multitran and the Google Translate system are used. The results of the research show that the Multitran dictionary provides a greater degree of equivalence of the translated text, but it is more difficult to apply in practice, which makes it necessary for students to develop practical skills and techniques for work with this dictionary.
