ON GENRES OF MILITARY ENGLISH DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the understanding of the notion of genre in linguistics and to the description of the military discourse field. This field is presented in the form of nuclear area, near nuclear area, further nuclear area and periphery. Special emphasis is placed on the genres of military English journalistic discourse which may be characterized both as status-oriented and personal-oriented secondary scientific average volume texts. In this case, the personal component of discourse comes to the fore.
