DONALD TRUMP’S MEDIA IMAGE IN THE TEXTS OF GERMAN MASS MEDIA

Abstract. In the article the results of the analysis of German media texts devoted to the election of the 45th President of the United States are presented. The "key meanings" constructing the mediatized image (media image) of D. Trump are predetermined by the ethno-stereotyped nature and are interpreted in the work on the basis of the analysis of the units of the German language system which belong to different levels. The authors of the research pay attention to the connotative aspect of lexical units and come to the conclusion about the predominance of the negative component in the media image of this politician.
