Abstract. The purpose of this work is to identify and examine the lexical-semantic system of the concept "disease" in Leo Tolstoy’s individual style by the material of the description of Nikolai Levin’s disease and death, who is the character of the novel "Anna Karenina". During the analysis of the text lexemes illustrating the physical and psychological state of the novel character are revealed and examined, the features of their semantics and functioning in the text of the work are described, and the key words representing the concept "disease" are determined in the novel.
