Abstract. The article is devoted to working with cross-cultural information at the lessons of Russian as a foreign language. Special attention is paid to educational trips. The article presents a sample of the work on the theme "The Great Patriotic War in the memory of the Kuban citizens". The tasks are focused on the development and improvement of foreigners’ skills of oral and written speech, as well as the formation of cross-cultural competence in the Russian language.
