LEARNING STRATEGIES FOR CONTINUOUS LANGUAGE EDUCATION (NON-LINGUISTIC HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENT)

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of reducing the academic load in a foreign language for undergraduates. The authors present the results of the questionnaire survey of senior students "The reasons for continuous learning of foreign languages in a higher education establishment", the scheme of learning strategies for self-guided language education, and the tools for self-guided educational and cognitive activity for senior students. The essence and the functions of learning strategies in the process of the foreign language teaching are shown.
