THE MYTHOLOGICAL BAIT "SAK-SOK" IN THE ORAL POETIC CREATIVITY OF THE BASHKIR PEOPLE (ACCORDING TO THE ARCHIVAL MATERIALS OF THE FOLKLORE FUND OF THE DEPARTMENT OF THE BASHKIR LITERATURE OF THE BASHKIR STATE UNIVERSITY)

Abstract. The article deals with the archival materials of the variants of the mythological bait "Sak-Sok" collected by students in 1958-1980 in different areas of the Republic of Bashkortostan, stored in the folklore fund of the department of the Bashkir literature of the Bashkir State University. During the study of the materials the author identifies the Baits both in poetic and in prose forms where the description of the events before children’s transformation in the mythical birds (the twins’ prank, the mother’s curse), as well as the subsequent events have different variations. In some cases, new characters that have not been traced earlier appear. The connection with the world mythology has been found out in this work.
