ON FORMING THE WORD-BUILDING COMPETENCE OF PUPILS IN COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

Abstract. This article formulates the definition of the notion "word-building competence". The peculiarities of its formation are revealed. The reasons for the difficulties of performing tasks on word formation are analyzed as well. On the basis of the analysis general guidelines for performing exercises of this section are presented. The authors propose tasks that will facilitate preparation for the State final examination.
