Abstract. The article examines the role of general parameters of order (intersection, subordination and exclusion) in the discourse. The author proves their ability to regulate the content and meaning interaction within the English discourse, containing the idiom with the component hand in its structure. The principles and methods of nonlinear science help to identify the causes of systematization of discourse relations according to the semantic feature by means of detailed functional linguistic analysis.
