IMPLEMENTING POSITIVE SELF-PRESENTATION STRATEGY IN B. GRILLO’S POLITICAL DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article examines the implementation of positive self-presentation strategy in the modern Italian political discourse. The efficiency of political speech is determined by the competent choice of linguistic representation of positive self-presentation strategy and its tactics. Relying on the research findings the author characterizes linguistic means to express positive self-presentation strategy realized by B. Grillo, the leader of opposition party " Movimento 5 stelle". The conclusions are justified by the examples from the research corpus.
