"JAMAICA" PHENOMENON IN THE CONTEXT OF COLORISTIC METAPHORS OF THE MODERN GERMAN POLITICAL MEDIA DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article is devoted to analyzing coloristic figurative representations of the modern German political media discourse objectifying the key phenomenon of the German policy "Jamaica" in 2017. The study of specificity of functioning and developmental dynamics of the figurative political colouronym "Jamaica" in the context of colour nominations of the German political media discourse testify to its potentially high metaphorical activity and productivity. The fragment of the modern German political reality viewed through the lenses of the mentioned images actualizes the features of stagnation and crisis in the German political landscape, which is determined by negative connotation of this realia.
