POLYLINGUAL CULTURE AS A SUBJECT OF PEDAGOGICAL RESEARCH

Abstract. The article defines the pedagogical essence of the concept "polylingual culture". The author presents an analysis of works on the problems of multiculturalism, multilingualism carried out with a view to clarify the place and role of polylingual culture as a subject of pedagogical research. The categories "culture", "cultural value orientations", "language" are considered in detail and in interrelationship, which makes it possible to determine the content and functions of polylingual culture. The paper singles out the components of polylingual culture: cognitive, value, activity ones.
