INNOVATIVE POTENTIAL OF MULTIMEDIA AND INTERACTIVE METHODS IN TEACHING DIRECT AND INDIRECT SPEECH IN RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES IN A LIBERAL ARTS COLLEGE

Abstract. Studying direct and indirect speech by foreign students is a complex process necessary for teaching written and oral communication and work with monological and dialogical speech. The article deals with the stages of teaching foreign students direct and indirect speech: introduction of grammatical material, teacher’s summarizing comment, systematization of grammatical material, formation of language skills and development of speech abilities. The authors propose a system of lexical and grammatical tasks and exercises on this topic, based on teaching the types of speech activity: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. There is connection between teaching direct and indirect speech using modern multimedia technologies and interactive teaching methods.
