PEDAGOGICAL DIAGNOSTICS ROLE IN SELF-STUDY FOR THE UNIFIED STATE EXAM IN ENGLISH

Abstract. The article is devoted to the description of pedagogical diagnostics role in the organization of final-year pupils’ self-study for the Unified State Exam in English. The authors present a model of this process, which is carried out in five stages: 1) entrance diagnostics; 2) identification of typical errors, making recommendations for self-study organization; 3) re-diagnostics; 4) self-study adjustment according to secondary results; 5) final control. The paper describes the positive experience of this model realization in the Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution "Lyceum of Irkutsk State University" in Irkutsk.
