ASSOCIATIVE FIELD OF THE CONCEPT FRIENDSHIP IN THE AMERICAN LINGUISTIC WORLDVIEW

Abstract. The article presents the results of an experimental research of the concept FRIENDSHIP in the American linguistic worldview. The study is based on the free associative experiment data and aims to identify the most important components of the concept FRIENDSHIP . The relevance and originality of the paper are conditioned by the absence of scientific works devoted to this problem. The findings indicate that in the American linguistic consciousness, the concept FRIENDSHIP is mostly associated with ethical values.
