GENDER STEREOTYPES IN THE GERMAN EVERYDAY LINGUISTIC ANECDOTE ABOUT WOMEN

Abstract. The article examines the gender stereotype conception by the material of the German everyday linguistic anecdotes about women. The author introduces a definition of the gender stereotype from the viewpoint of linguistics and psychology. It is shown that humorous effect in everyday linguistic anecdotes is achieved by different linguistic means. Everyday linguistic anecdotes about women are classified according to the key thematic areas and gender stereotypes represented in them. Special attention is paid to a hot issue of the domestic laughing culture - "a woman driver".
