SOFT SKILLS FORMATION IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING PROFESSIONALLY ORIENTED FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS STUDENTS

Abstract. Nowadays, an adequate soft skills level is a competitive advantage in the labour market. Employers indicate the unsatisfactory level of graduates’ inter-personal, communicative and analytical skills. Soft skills are of special importance for international relations specialists. The discipline "Foreign Language" plays an essential role in soft skills formation. In this connection, the author proposes to integrate the methodology of soft skills formation into the process of international relations students’ foreign-language training. The paper considers the notion "soft skills", identifies two groups of soft skills relevant for international relations specialists, suggests a methodology to form these skills.
