Three China’s Images in N. Gumilyov’s Creative Work and Specificity of Their Formation

Abstract. China’s poetical heritage traditionally attracts attention of the Russian and foreign researchers. However, the Russian perception of China is based not only on authentic information but on its numerous Western European interpretations. N. S. Gumilyov’s (1886-1921) poetical works contain the poet’s unique conception of China, his analysis of this complicated and contradictive problem. The paper considers N. S. Gumilyov’s original interpretation (personification) of "three China’s images". The study is based on the Chinese researchers’ works.
