The German-Slavonic Parallels within the Dichotomy "To Come into Being - to Die" in the German and Russian Languages: Etymological, Synchronic and Diachronic Aspects

Abstract. The paper aims to reveal phonological, morphological, word-formative, semantic, diachronic peculiarities of the German-Slavonic lexical correlates within the dichotomy "to come into being - to die". Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that relying on etymological, linguo-culturological, historical data, the author identifies the German-Slavonic correlates that originated as a result of cross-ethnic interaction, provides their comprehensive analysis taking into account morphological, phonological, semantic aspects. The research findings are as follows: the author shows that etymologization of the Slavonic correlates allows reconstructing the German lexical archetypes.
