Optimization of Students’ Autonomous Work on the Discipline "Foreign Language" at Technical Higher Education Establishment

Abstract. The article considers the problems of teaching a foreign language to non-linguistic students, in particular, the problems of organizing students’ autonomous work. Potential advantages of introducing online learning programs and computer technologies into educational process are examined. The results of using one of the existing English teaching platforms are provided. The paper proposes a model of an interactive foreign language teaching resource intended to optimize the teacher’s and the student’s work with professionally oriented foreign-language texts in the course of home reading.
