Abstract. The aim of the study is to determine the structural and semantic features of mental performatives in the Russian mathematical text. The article deals with the functioning of mental performatives that unite the consciousness of the author and the addressee. The scientific novelty lies in the systematization of the structural and semantic types of mental performatives in the mathematical text, in the definition of their metatextual function. As a result, it is proved that the scientific text is characterized by special structural and semantic ways of realizing the performative meaning. The study of the text from the point of view of the theory of performativity is an important step in the transition from semantic to pragmatic analysis.
