Abstract. The author considers the problems of Russia and Abkhazia cooperation under the conditions of modern political realities, specifies the aspects of economic, political and cultural processes in recent years, as well as Abkhazia participation in the preparation for the Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi and formulates the major prospects of Russia and Abkhazia integration in the process of single resort infrastructure development and joint projects implementation.
