Kurylev Konstantin Petrovich
Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Moscow

Abstract. The article considers the problem of threats to Russia and Ukraine’s security in the Black Sea region. The author conducts their comprehensive analysis, and substantiates the idea that many of them are identical for two countries, and this creates conditions for cooperation. However, there is the polarity of views on foreign threats in Ukraine. Nationalist forces recognize the crucial of them in Russia, and their opponents – in NATO. The author comes to the conclusion that Russia and Ukraine are doomed to find agreements on the issue of security in the Black Sea region. It is the only way they can ensure their internal stability and provide external security.
