FENG SHUI AS BASIS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF FAR EASTERN SOUTH TOWNS

Abstract. The author considers the originality of the world understanding in the eastern culture, particularly in China, emphasizes the close relationship of philosophy, nature and art, in particular town planning, reveals the main features of the ancient doctrine of Feng Shui from the perspective of nature-climatic and landscape factors, and traces the use of the found techniques in the town planning practice of China from ancient times till the present day.
