INSTITUTION OF INTERNATIONAL CONTROL IN SPHERE OF EXECUTION OF CRIMINAL PUNISHMENTS: PROBLEMS OF REALIZATION IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to the institution of international control over the execution of criminal punishments. In the work the topical problems of its realization in the Russian Federation are considered. The issues of the legal fixation of international control forms in the Russian legislation and the practice of their realization are studied, the advantages and disadvantages of international control implementation in the process of the execution of criminal punishments are revealed. The necessity of the interaction of state, public and international control with the purpose of suppressing abuse and discrimination on the part of state bodies in respect of convicts is revealed and grounded.
