NATIONAL FACTOR OF TRANSFORMATION OF POLITICAL REGIME IN RUSSIA: HISTORICAL EXPERIENCE AND THE PRESENT

Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities and stages of the transformation of political regime depending on national policy implementation by the supreme power. In the focus of the scientific search historical retrospective review is accentuated: the fundamentals of imperial policy in the XIX century, the problems of Russification and preserving national identity are considered. The evolution of ethnic Orthodox tsarism in the XIX century is studied and the attempt to solve this problem in the first years of Soviet power and in post-Soviet Russia is characterized.
