ALIENATION AS A WAY OF DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURE: CONCEPTION BY ERICH FROMM

Abstract. The article touches on the problem of alienation in philosophy by Erich Fromm. The author concludes that in Fromm’s creative heritage, along with the types of alienation, two levels of alienation manifestation can be distinguished: first of all, alienation manifests itself as a metaphysical process in the historical development of mankind during transition from animal state to social one, and, secondly, alienation manifests itself at subjective level at certain developmental stages of society.
