Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of a new tendency in capitalism development by representatives of scientific and socio-political thought in Russia of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries on the basis of the USA experience comprehension. In this regard, the author considers views of domestic scientists and publicists on the origin of monopoly concerns and consequences of their activity in the United States, as well as the basics of the state policy in relation to monopolies.
