Abstract. Modern social world is a variety of cultural, religious, ethnic, culinary and other traditions concentrated in the limited space. Such a diversity of social patterns inevitably influences the sphere of public consciousness, the weaving of ancient myths, religious dogmas, scientific theories, hypotheses, everyday, often ignorant conceptions of a human being, ethnos, society, nature. Thus, there is a necessity for the critical analysis of social consciousness, which presupposes the use of the scientific method based on the principles of objectivity, justification, validity.
