METHOD OF TEACHING THE COURSE "ENGINEERING GRAPHICS" AT BAUMAN MOSCOW STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract. The article describes the method of teaching the course "Engineering Graphics" in the third semester of studies at Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Within the framework of this course, each student receives an individual assignment, which consists of a set of parts of the assembly unit. During the assignment fulfillment, the student makes sketches of the parts. Basing on the sketches the models of parts and further the model of the assembly unit are built using the Autodesk Inventor program. The student makes a general drawing with a table of component parts basing on the model of the assembly unit also applying the Autodesk Inventor package. The proposed methodology allows students to master the skills of developing design documentation much faster. The article gives examples of design documents.
