Abstract. The article substantiates the essence of a teacher’s self-actualization as a conscious and controlled activity, which becomes possible when considering this phenomenon from the point of view of the person-centred approach. The author describes the leading interrelated components of self-actualization: the goal, motives, the subject (individual-personal potential), subjective and objective conditions and structural organization of the process. Special attention is paid to the dichotomy of the goal as an integrating factor of the entire system, as well as self-organization, ensuring the effectiveness of a teacher’s and students’ self-actualization.
