TEACHING ENGLISH COLLOQUIAL SPEECH WITHIN SPACE-TIME APPROACH

Abstract. The article considers the opportunity to attract the main regulations of the space-time approach in the English-language education process. Special attention is paid to the space-time reference points of the standardized English language and its regional standards and socio-cultural dialects. Adequate communicatively oriented behaviour in the English-language communicative space is provided by the knowledge of the key attributes of the standardized, regional and socio-cultural use of verbal/nonverbal communication means that act as communicative reference points.
